Abhay Kanjikar, Managing Trustee
is 40 years old, Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineer, has worked for 15+ years in IT Sector in MNC’s like Tata Unisys, Multi-Tech Communications, etc. He also has 5+ years experience in Micro-finance sector. He worked as Executive Director in a large scale Micro-finance Institution (MFI). He is now working as Advisor to two MFI’s and is Board member for IT Company, Conflux Technologies. A Social Worker, Philanthropist, was President of Rotary club of Bangalore Udyog in 2008-09. He is passionate about poverty reduction in India and has been supporting many NGO’s doing charitable work. He has undergone executive education programs at IIM, Bangalore and at Harvard Business School (HBS), Boston, USA. Abhay strongly believes the only way to alleviate poverty is to provide education to all. |
Shivalingaiah Gowda, Trustee
is 46 years old, Chemical Engineer. He owns industry in the name of “Manjunatha Metal Finishers” in Bangalore, India from 15 years. Born and brought up in poor family, he relates to poverty directly. He is working member of “Nele”, organisation working with orphans from past one decade. He also strongly believes that literacy is the best way to reduce poverty and has been involved from the conceptual stage of 3S. |
Dr. Pradeep B Deshpande, Advisor
is Professor Emeritus in and a former Chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He is in US from last 46 years. He is also founder President and Chief Executive Officer of Louisville-based Six Sigma and Advanced Controls, Inc. Among SAC’s past and present clients are Du Pont, Colgate-Palmolive, Frito Lay, Pidilite Industries, Ltd., Kuwait University, Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education, Providian Bancorp, Zeon Chemicals, and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Ltd., University of Kentucky. Professor Deshpande has been the sole Leader of AIChE’s training program, “Six Sigma for Global Competitiveness”. Prof. Deshpande introduced a three-credit advanced level course in Six Sigma at the University of Louisville, believed to be the first University in the world to do so in 2003. Dr. Deshpande is a recipient of numerous awards for teaching, research, and professional excellence, including ISA's Donald P. Eckman Award in Process Control Education. He is a Fellow of ISA, and is listed in the Who's Who in the World. | | | |
